Director, Chartered Building Surveyor
Trevor heads up the Building Consultancy division of Durrants and has over 30 years' experience in Building Surveying. Trevor started out with Richard Pither & Co in Diss, thereafter formed TDM Design and then moved to Miller Mitchell Chartered Surveyors. He spent seven years with Steggles Hughes Chartered Surveyors, the last three as company lead. Trevor joined Durrants in 2008 and as a Director of the firm, he forms part of the leadership team responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the company. Having worked in Norfolk and Suffolk throughout his career, Trevor has intimate knowledge of the local building industry and extensive contact network.

Hamish has over 17 years' experience in public and private planning practice and is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Having managed Council planning departments, Hamish has an in-depth knowledge of Council planning requirements. Key areas of expertise include development appraisals, securing planning permissions, appeals and objector advocacy work. Hamish advises on all types of urban and rural development, from large and small scale residential development, industrial and commercial projects to listed buildings, barn conversions and rural schemes such as intensive livestock facilities.

John is an RIBA Chartered Architect and ARB registered, having gained extensive architectural knowledge and expertise over a 30 year career. John has worked in both the public and private sector as well as a sole practitioner on a wide variety of development projects in London and East Anglia. John specialises in the residential, commercial and educational sectors with a portfolio that features numerous housing schemes, offices , historic and listed building refurbishments and multi million pound school projects. From small scale domestic and commercial projects to large scale masterplanning schemes, John leads the design development of all commissions.

Architectural Technologist / Trainee Building Surveyor
David joined Durrants in 2014 after moving east from a large architectural practice in Warwickshire. Holding a first class honours degree in Architectural Technology from Coventry University, David is an Associate Member of CIAT and is currently working towards Associate membership of the RICS. David produces the company's drawing work, covering all aspects of the development process from planning through to building regulations. David has worked on a wide range of projects, from small domestic developments to large commercial and retail schemes.
Roz moved to Norfolk from London in 2001, having spent over 13 years in publishing with Penguin Books and Virgin Publishing, and before that on the advertising teams of the Daily Mail and the Guardian. Roz is an experienced business administrator who has an advanced skillset in all business disciplines including finance management, marketing, and administration. Roz has been providing administrative support to the team since 2011. Roz, together with Anna, acts as first point of contact for all new and existing client enquiries.
Anna joined Durrants in 2014 having previously worked for an architect and surveying firm in Bury St Edmunds. Anna has a wealth of executive administration and PA experience, having previously worked for Lloyds, HSBC and The Royal Bank of Scotland and as the Group Sales Controller at UK Greetings head office in West Yorkshire. Anna's business skills led her to establishing and running her own successful business. Anna manages all finance matters and back office systems and is responsible for QMS ISO9001 management. Anna, together with Roz, acts as first point of contact for all new and existing client enquiries.
An Associate Member of CIAT, Tom is a recent graduate from the University of Brighton, holding an honours degree in Architectural Technology. Tom is highly proficient in a range of design software packages, including AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Photoshop, Revit and Sketchup. Tom works alongside David in producing the majority of the team's design drawings. Tom's focus is on the design of buildings for use and performance, including concept development, technical design and visual detailing. Tom has returned to his home town of Diss after spending his university years in Brighton.
